Layout Dump

Epic title is epic, yes? Bah, didn't know what else to call it...

Anyway...in my Layout class, we have to hand it a portfolio at the end of the semester with at least 5 drawings that relate to layout in some way. Rather than using various work from other projects, like I did for the first semester, I went and made some new works (mainly 'cause I wanted to practice digital backgrounds). I really do enjoy layout in general, I just still suck at it and need more practice x.x So these are the 5 works I'm gonna be handing in, and since I haven't been able to post anything new in a bit...decided to post them to show that I'm still alive!

Top 2 and middle left were actually taken from thumbnails I made for my painting class and decided to complete them digitally. Man was it way more relaxing and easier to complete them digitally than with traditional paints... If the other 2 look kinda...void of something, it's 'cause they are. Middle right was actually an extension of a background for another pic I drew and posted on here, while the bottom one is a background for another pic I doubt I'd ever get around to finishing, and both actually had characters in them (the bottom one is also nearly a year old...).

Yeeeaaah, anyway, woo for posting something other than fan art. If anyone would like to use these backgrounds for whatever, feel free to, just give credit back to me. And, if you want a larger version of any of these, let me know! I just scaled them all down for this post... Too lazy to post them all up separately.

And to my friends in class who mentioned that there's too much black in some...that was due to the monitors at school xD They seriously don't look so empty/black on my screen. Really.
